Recently a customer was unable to launch the Analytics search from within the Valerus client PC.
The system was set up correctly and the Analytics were accessible on the Analytics server itself.
Unlike VAX which connects to the VAX server via a web page, Valerus Smart Analytics client software is required to be installed on every client PC where Analytics search access is required. This is simple enough to do following the guide below. Valerus Smart Software can be downloaded from here.
Valerus Smart Analytics
Click on the Installer and when prompted select Custom - Next
Uncheck all options apart from Client - Next
Enter the IP address of the Analytics Server - Next
It should now be possible to access the analytics server features from the Client PC.
