Applies to:
- Vicon VMDC / Workstation / Nucleus / NVR systems without external GPU
- ViconNet application (all Models)
Issue
After applying a Windows update or updating the onboard Intel GPU driver, the ViconNet application fails to stream video. The following error is displayed:
"Video cannot be displayed at this time"
This issue only occurs on systems using Intel onboard GPU. Systems equipped with an external NVIDIA GPU (e.g., T400 / A400) are not affected.
Root Cause
The problem is caused by incompatibility between ViconNet’s video rendering engine and certain Intel GPU driver versions.
- The last known working Intel GPU driver version is: 32.0.101.5542
- After upgrading to newer drivers, ViconNet is unable to initialize video playback.
Affected Vicon’s Models
- NEWA-SF000D-N00
- NESA-SF000D-N00
- NECA-MT000D-N01
- NECA-MC000D-N00
Note: Only servers without an external NVIDIA GPU are affected.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, install the verified Intel GPU driver version that restores compatibility.
Steps:
- Download the Intel GPU driver version 32.0.101.7028 from Intel’s official site:
Intel Arc & Iris Xe Graphics – Driver 32.0.101.7028 - Install the downloaded driver 32.0.101.7028. (Uncheck Clean Installation Option)
- Restart the system.
- Launch ViconNet and verify video streams are functioning correctly.
Workaround
If updating is not possible:
- Roll back the GPU driver to 32.0.101.5542 (last known stable version).
