How to get a single static image from an IQeye camera?

You can just use the URL http://<camera-ip>/now.jpg

The resolution of that image will he the resolution of the JPEG stream of the highest resolution.

    Hi Donald,

If the primary stream is h.264 you can configure the secondary or tertiary stream on the camera to be a small resolution JPEG.  Requesting now.jpg will then give you the smaller size.  If you have already configured a large primary JPEG stream there is currently no URL to request a secondary JPEG image.  This is in the engineering queue as a feature request but is not available yet.

    Donald,

Actually, if you configure multiple MJPEG streams on a camera, you can find these on different port numbers.

So, if you have the following stream configuration:

    Stream 1: jpeg 1080p 15fps

    Stream 2: jpeg 480p 15fps

    Stream 3: h264 480p 15fps

    Then:

http://<camera-ip>/now.jpg will show the 1080p image

http://<camera-ip>:82/now.jpg will show the 480p image   (Note the different port number 82 here)

If you would configure a 3th MJPEG stream, this would be on port 83   ( http://<camera-ip>:83/now.jpg )

Also, if you configure a 'vcam' on stream 3, the vcam will also appear on port 83

Donald, yes, it uses the same offset.

So, for instance, if your base port is 90 instead of the default of 80, your secondary and tertiary MJPEG streams will appear on port 92 and 93.

Henk this is working out great. I have the 863W configured as follows.

    Stream 1: h264 2MP 10fps

    Stream 2: jpeg 2MP 10fps

    Stream 3: jpeg vga 1fps

Event capture via FTP is giving me a 1600x1200 image (which is what I want ) and requesting a NOW.jpg + 2 port numbers up gives me the 640x480 (vga) .

    Thanks.
